Arbor Investments, (“Arbor”), a specialized private equity firm focused on acquiring companies in food, beverage, and related industries, has been recognized by PEI Group’s Agri Investor 2025 Agri Awards as Agribusiness Fund Manager of the Year in both the Global and Americas categories. Additionally, Arbor Investments VI was named runner-up in the Equity Fundraising of the Year category. The Agri Investor awards recognize the dealmakers, fundraisers and investors that stood out to Agri Investor in 2025. [1]
Now in its 27th year investing exclusively in food and beverage and related companies, Arbor remains focused on winning in the middle market. The firm’s playbook combines deep industry expertise, hands-on operational support, investment in infrastructure, and strategic add-on acquisitions seeking to build market-leading businesses.
“We are honored to be recognized by PEI with these Agri Investor Awards,” said Gregory Purcell, co-founder and Chairman at Arbor Investments. “They are another recognition of the incredible team we’ve built and the highly differentiated strategy we’ve refined over the last two and a half decades investing in food. We are humbled by the continued support and commitments from our longtime limited partners who have entrusted Arbor with their capital.”
According to Agri Investor, Arbor closed the second-largest private markets vehicle in the agrifood and natural capital sector in 2025. In that year, Arbor had a final closing of its $1.2 billion Arbor Investments VI. The fundraise and closing of the sixth flagship fund marked a strong vote of confidence in Arbor, as it was completed during a period of constrained LP liquidity and limited exits.
In 2025, Arbor was also active on the transaction front and across its portfolio, recapitalizing Rubix Foods and acquiring food services sales and marketing platform Acxion Foodservice.
