Arbor Investments Announces The Acquisition of Sanford Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Inc.

Arbor Investments, based in Chicago, Illinois, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Sanford, North Carolina-based Sanford Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Inc. from the Ingram Family. Terms of the transaction were withheld. The Ingram family has owned and operated the Company since 1907. “We are honored to carry on the tradition that the Ingram Family built at this fine company over the last 100 years,” said Gregory J. Purcell, CEO of Arbor Investments, “We are looking forward to serving the Sanford community and having the opportunity to market the number one soft drink brand in the world.” Charles Ingram, the longtime President of Sanford Coca-Cola Bottling Co. plans to retire from day-to-day operations and will be replaced by John Adams, a 40 year veteran of the Coca-Cola business. Mr. Adams serves as President of based Montross, Virginia-based Northern Neck Coca-Cola Bottling Co. which is also owned by Arbor Investments.
