Acquisition of Allied Specialty Foods, Inc.

Chicago, Illinois-based Arbor Private Investment Company, L.P., in conjunction with its Operating Partner Steven Zoll, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Vineland, New Jersey-based Allied Specialty Foods, Inc. Allied is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of specialty raw and fully-cooked beef and poultry items. Terms of the sale were withheld.
Allied specializes in custom formulating portion-controlled beef and chicken items for a wide range of foodservice customers, including national and regional restaurant chains, contract caterers and broadline distributors. The Company’s core product line consists of thinly-sliced steak products including “Philly Steak” sandwiches, fajitas and other signature products formulated to meet exact customer specifications. Allied’s products are manufactured at its modern facility located in Vineland, New Jersey.
Steven Zoll, Arbor Operating Partner and former President of ConAgra Foods Refrigerated Foodservice Company, will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Susan Spencer will remain with the Company in her current role as President.
