Arbor Investments Hires Allegretti as President

Arbor Investments (“Arbor”), a specialized private equity firm that focuses exclusively on investing in the food and beverage industry, announced today the hiring of Carl Allegretti as President. Concurrent with the hiring, Arbor Co-Founder Joseph Campolo moves to Vice Chairman and Senior Advisor.

Allegretti joins Arbor from Deloitte where he was Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Chicago Office and oversaw approximately 6,000 professionals in Audit, Tax Advisory, and Consulting. Additionally, Allegretti led Deloitte’s Global Private Practice. Previous roles at Deloitte include Chairman and CEO of Deloitte Tax LLP and Vice Chairman of the US Board of Directors. With over 35 years of financial services expertise and executive leadership responsibility, Allegretti brings an innate ability to attract, develop and retain high-performing professionals and successfully lead them to deliver best-in-class results.

Allegretti will officially join the firm in March.

Carl Allegretti Executive Profile

A native of Gary, Indiana, Carl Allegretti began his professional career at Arthur Andersen’s Chicago office in 1983. Allegretti held a variety of leadership roles, quickly rising to Partner. Allegretti worked with Deloitte leadership to successfully lead the Chicago tax practice of Arthur Andersen to Deloitte in 2002. While at Deloitte, Allegretti served as Chairman and CEO of Deloitte Tax LLP, led the tax practice for the Canadian member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), led Deloitte’s Global Private Practice, was Vice Chair of the US Board of Directors and was a member of Deloitte’s Global Board of Directors. Most recently, Allegretti was Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Chicago Office with leadership responsibility for approximately 6,000 professionals in the Chicago market. Allegretti is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a certified CPA in Illinois and Indiana.

A global leader and distinguished executive, Allegretti regularly speaks at professional forums and on college campuses about leadership, trends transforming the marketplace, and issues that business leaders face in today’s complex global economy.

Allegretti’s outside affiliations are reflective of his commitment to youth, family, and athletics. He serves on the boards of World Business Chicago, Civic Committee of the Commercial Club, Imerman Angels, and the National Football Foundation. Allegretti also serves as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, is the Co-Chair of the After School Matters Advisory Board, and was the former Chair of Illinois Special Olympics.

Allegretti received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Butler University in Indiana. A former collegiate athlete, Allegretti is an avid sports fan and fitness enthusiast having completed 69 marathons and two ultra-marathons – often as part of fundraising events that enable him to give back to the community. Carl and his wife Tammy reside in Frankfort, IL and have two grown sons, Joe and Nick. His youngest son, Nick, currently plays in the NFL for the 2019 Superbowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
